The heartwarming friendship between a 93-year-old widower and his elderly cat has captured the hearts of many after their daily routine was shared online . Sarah Annett, 34, took to social media to share the touching bond her grandfather, Walter Annett, shares with his senior cat Angus, who he's had for over a decade after being given him by his previous owners.

Talking with Newsweek , Sarah revealed that Angus initially started visiting Walter and his late wife's home in search of some peace and quiet from his lively household filled with young children. Over time, Angus began spending more time at Walter's until he practically lived there.
