A man and a woman are facing a combined 30 charges after city police officers seized more than $35,000 worth of drugs, and prohibited weapons in central Edmonton last week.
Just after midnight on Aug. 27, officers spotted a 2007 Ford Explorer parked in a grass field near 85 Street and 111 Avenue, police said in a Friday news release. The car had both front doors open and police said a man and a woman were seen rummaging through the vehicle.

Police said “large stacks of cash” and other drug-related items were visible inside the vehicle. After further investigation, police seized more than $35,000 worth of drugs, including 523 grams of methamphetamine, 27 grams of fentanyl, and contraband cigarettes.
