ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

Unionized workers at Creamland Dairy plants in Albuquerque and Farmington continued their strike Friday for better wages and working conditions, with negotiations currently stalled between the workers and their parent company, Dairy Farmers of America.

The strike involved at least 45 members on the picket line Friday, according to Jesus Vicada, vice president of Local Teamsters Union 492.

"It seems like we have a lot of the community support behind our members, and it's been good," Vicada said.

Vicada emphasized that the workers' demands for higher wages, pensions, and better health insurance coverage are not unreasonable.
