Tower block households are said to be in line for compensation after their water supply was abruptly cut off during the heatwave.
People living in Medway Tower, Severn Tower and Thames Tower, off Cromwell Street, in Nechells, were left without water after it was turned off on the morning of August 18 to allow for maintenance work.
During this process, an underground pipe was damaged and they were told it take three days for a replacement to be installed and the taps switched back on.

Local Councillor Lee Marsham called for a probe into the incident- which lasted days- and was pleased to announce that all impacted residents would be getting £150.
