One lane of Anderson Hill Road at the railroad bridge will be closed on Mondays through Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., starting Sept. 8, due to a Navy construction that may take weeks to complete.
The Navy will begin seismic upgrades on the Anderson Hill Road railroad bridge, near the Old Frontier Road intersection in Silverdale, affecting a busy road during the morning and afternoon commutes with buses and drivers in nearby neighborhoods going to Silverdale Elementary School, Central Kitsap Middle School and Central Kitsap High School. The lane closure will keep construction crews safe during work hours, according to a statement from Naval Base Kitsap.
