The air quality in Western Washington has improved as fans flock to the Emerald City to watch the Seattle Seahawks kick off their 50th anniversary year at Lumen Field.

Wildfires in the Olympics and Cascade ranges affected air quality in Kitsap, King and Pierce counties over the weekend, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency reported Friday. However, the forecast had called for rainy conditions that would help clear the air.
