IROQUOIS FALLS — The Timmins Rock dropped a 3-1 decision to the Storm in the first of a pair of weekend NOJHL exhibition contests at the Jus Jordan Arena, Friday night.

First period markers from Benjamin Coupal and Lucas Willoughby, with the eventual game-winner, helped propel the Storm get past the Rock.

After a scoreless middle stanza, blue-liner Matthew Kim put Timmins on the board, 6:44 into the third period.

The Rock had a late man advantage to try and tie things up, but Lucas Peever iced it for Iroquois Falls in the final minute with a shorthanded empty-netter to secure the result for the home side.
