September 6, 1898 - Now the site of a highly celebrated and successful county fairs in Nebraska, Keya Paha County held its first fair in 1898.

The showcase of the fair is the barn dance, which is now housed in a historic dance hall. The fair recently celebrated its 125th anniversary.
