MAITLAND, Pa. (WHTM) -- A bridge replacement project will have a road closed through mid-October, PennDOT said.
The closure is on Back Maitland Road in Derry Township, Mifflin County, east of Lewistown and will begin Monday, Sept. 8.
PennDOT says a contractor will be replacing a bridge crossing a tributary of Jack's Creek between Hibridge Circle and Mountainview Drive.
A detour will be in place using Main Street, East Charles Street, U.S. Route 22, U.S. Route 522, and Crossover Drive.
The closure is expected to last until mid-October but weather or other unforeseen circumstances can push that back.
