A brush fire northeast of Lake Elsinore is threatening around 10 structures and prompting evacuation orders on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 6 .

The Crump fire was reported around 12:45 p.m. north of Highway 74 and Crumpton Road, according to Watch Duty, a nonprofit app that tracks wildfires. The fire had burned more than 10 acres by around 1 p.m.

“The fire is now 10+ acres with a dangerous rate of spread and is making a run towards structures, per air attack,” Watch Duty reported.

Cal Fire Riverside confirmed that there was an immediate structure threat, and evacuation orders are underway, spokeswoman Tara Fernandez said. She said the evacuation areas would be announced shortly.
