ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle on Saturday, an Albuquerque Police Department news release said.

APD's Fatal Cash Unit is at Montgomery and San Mateo boulevards NE, where the crash happened. The eastbound lanes of Montgomery will be closed while an investigation is conducted.

In an update, APD said that a white Toyota Tundra was in the right turn lane of northbound San Mateo and began to make a righthand turn onto Montgomery when they hit a pedestrian who was walking in the crosswalk.
