Italy's 24-year-old Sinner, who is ranked No. 1, is coming off a four-set win over No. 25-ranked Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime in the semifinals. Spain's No. 2-ranked Carlos Alcaraz, 22, took down No. 7 Novak Djokovic in three sets to stamp his spot.

Alcaraz and Sinner have already met twice in a Slam final this year. The first came in the French Open when Alcaraz outdueled Sinner in a lengthy five-set affair. Sinner got revenge in early July with a four-set win at Wimbledon.
