ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — With place kicker Tyler Bass on injured reserve, the Buffalo Bills needed a place kicker for the first four games of the season.

Two days after the team signed Bills signed kicker Matt Prater to the practice squad, they've elevated the 41-year-old to the active roster in time for a Sunday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Bills on Friday ruled out Bass, who has been dealing with a left hip/groin injury.

Buffalo made one other move on Saturday, activating offensive lineman Kendrick Green from the practice squad.
