ROCHESTER, Minn. — Gallery 24 has extended its art exhibit "Always Be-Leave: Minnesota Leaves As Art" through September 16 due to high interest.

This exhibit showcases artworks created with or inspired by local leaves.

Supported by a Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council Grant, fiber artist Julie Yost said she aimed to capture the beauty of leaves in a lasting form. "Leaves are beautiful just as they are, but their beauty is short-lived," Yost said.

She noted that the exhibit features at least 16 different techniques, including batik and photography.

Kay Fox of Gallery 24 emphasized the exhibit's timeliness with the approach of autumn. "Now is the perfect time to experience this exhibit," Fox said.
