ALEDO, Illinois (KWQC) - A mom and daughter duo are growing sunflowers and lavender, along with corn and soybeans, while offering a day experience surrounded by the beautiful flowers.
Purple and yellow are the protagonists at Dandee Flowers in Aledo.
“I think we’re very lucky because we have them planted in an old cattle lot. So it’s very fertile and the flowers just seem to grow beautifully,” said Carol Longley, culinary artist and master gardener.
Their business started in 2021, and now their farm offers a day for visitors to connect with nature around sunflowers and lavender.
Children can go in the maze or playground, while others pick flowers, make a bouquet, or just enjoy the view.
