PEND OREILLE COUNTY, Wash. -- Road closures are still in place for a wildfire burning around 15 miles northwest of Cusick.
According to incident management, the Tacoma Creek Fire is estimated to be 2,717 acres with no containment.
On Friday, fire crews worked to create lines around the fire and remove hazardous trees from the area. Crews plan to improve on those lines and conduct burn operations in the area on Saturday.
Road closures are still in place on Tacoma Creek Road, Cusick Creek Road, Ruby Creek Road and Olson Creek Road.
Batey Bould trail is not passable at this time.
No evacuations have been issued for this fire.
