A 42-year-old Pacific Beach man has been arrested for an alleged threat involving "shooting up" Del Mar City Hall, according to authorities.

The alleged threat was made via telephone Thursday, during which the caller "made alarming statements about `shooting up' the facility," San Diego County Sheriff's Lt. Michael Davis said. "Deputies responded immediately, conducting a safety sweep of the Del Mar Civic Center, where City Hall is located, to ensure the immediate safety of city staff and the public.

Out of an abundance of caution, Del Mar officials canceled a scheduled public concert being held at the Civic Center."
