MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A chase through neighborhood streets in Highland Heights early Saturday ended in a suspect crashing into a state trooper's vehicle and a chase before his arrest.

Brian Talley, 39, was charged with evading arrest and aggravated assault against a first responder, in addition to a long list of drug, weapon and driving charges.

It happened around 3 a.m. on Baltic Avenue north of Summer, when a Highway Patrol trooper said he saw a Toyota Corolla with a license plate cover obscuring the license plate's county sticker.

The trooper turned on his blue lights, but initiated a chase when the driver sped off at dangerous speeds.
