WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) -- Mahoning Valley Punk Flea took over parts of downtown Warren on Saturday during the "Punk Flea" at Courthouse Square.

With dozens of vendors at the event, and live music to hear as attendees looked for art, books, vintage or handmade items and homemade treats, the event helped support local artists and small businesses.

"It's a community, because it's about grassroots, getting people together and building something from the ground up," said Cory Weddell, lead organizer of the event. "You don't have to worry about politics and religion or anything like that. It's about bringing people together."

The event also helped support Thrive Mahoning Valley, a local nonprofit that aims to help strengthen the valley.
