TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Sixty patients received free tooth extractions Saturday during Bradfordville Dental Care’s 5th Annual Free Dental Day.

The event offered dental extractions at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis. No insurance or payment was required.

Doors opened at 8 a.m., but staff said patients began lining up as early as 6 a.m., as many sought relief from dental pain that they couldn’t afford to treat.

One patient, Talishay Harrington-Sills, said the procedure she needed would have cost $1,600. She had been saving up for the procedure, but she’s grateful that money can now go elsewhere.
