MISSOULA — The Montana Grizzlies are hosting D-II Central Washington at Washington-Grizzly Stadium to open their 2025 season.
The Griz come into the contest having won 29 straight home games against non-Big Sky teams, 21 consecutive home openers, 19 straight regular season nonconference home games and 10 season openers in a row, the last of which is currently the longest such streak in the FCS.
No. 6 Montana climbed up a spot from its preseason ranking of seventh in spite of an early bye week that pushed its start to Week 2 of the season. Central Washington is ranked No. 23 in Division II after defeating Colorado Mesa last week.
After not playing in Week 1, the Griz are the last NCAA Division I team, excluding the Ivy League, to kick off their season. Their kickoff will come 4 1/2 hours
