WEST SENECA, N.Y. — Veterans from a Buffalo-based Marine Corps Reserve unit that deployed to Iraq 20 years ago gathered in West Seneca on Saturday to commemorate the anniversary of their service.

Many of those who served have remained in Western New York, continuing lives of public service in law enforcement, public safety, and even providing security at Highmark Stadium during Bills games.

Anthony Nigro, a veteran of the unit, talked with 2 On Your Side about the reunion.

"This type of reunion, it provides the Marines with a lot of social networking. You know, coming together, since it's been 20 years since they saw each other last. Good stories and good times from the past," he said.
