PIEDMONT, S.C. (WSPA) - Spooky season is creeping up and haunted houses are starting to open for the season.

Mad World Haunted Attraction on Country Manor Road in Piedmont is celebrating 15 years of fear.

“Now we're here on opening weekend. We have hundreds of people that work for us on staff from customer service, parking, actors, makeup artists, and costuming teams,” said Joseph Thompson of Mad World.

Seven months. That’s how long it takes to bring this haunted attraction to life.

Joseph Thompson and his brother Tim Thompson co-own the attraction. They say their love for horror started at a young age. Now, they look forward to sharing that same passion with others every year.
