TOLEDO, Ohio — The third suspect accused of murder in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old in west Toledo earlier this summer was taken into custody on Friday.
Toledo police issued a warrant for the arrest of Pete Wheatley, 19, on Thursday, after arresting Gage Bearden, 19 and Robert Dorr, 24, on Wednesday.
All three are accused of being involved in a robbery that resulted in the death of Darius Washington, who was found shot multiple times on Dixon Avenue near West Alexis Road in the early morning hours of June 22.
Washington died from his injuries at the hospital about an hour after the shooting.
The Lucas County Coroner's Office ruled his death a homicide.
