CLEVELAND — Cleveland police say five people were taken to the hospital after a bar fight led to a shooting in the Flats on Sunday evening.

Crews were called to the 1000 block of West 10th Street around 6:15 p.m. According to police, five people — including one person officers believe to be a suspect in the shooting — received first aid treatment at the scene. EMS transported the victims to an area hospital.

Cleveland firefighters were already in the area responding to overcrowding at a nearby bar when they heard gunfire, police said.

Police said a preliminary investigation indicates a fight broke out inside a nearby bar and escalated outside, leading to the shooting.
