RACELAND, La. — A Raceland community is rallying behind a family earlier this summer.
Six weeks ago, neighbor Kyra Foret got the call no one ever wants to receive.
“It was around 1 a.m. and my phone rang that my neighbor's house was on fire,” Foret said.
Her next-door neighbor, Erin Bradley, made it out alive, but her children 6-year-old Dre'trell Bradley, 12-year-old Karlie Bradley, 14-year-old Benjamin Bradley, and 20-year-old Bennaja Robinson were trapped inside.
“My first reaction was to run and comfort Mrs. Erin. She was completely torn apart. She was in shock,” Foret said.
In a small town like Raceland, the grief spread quickly. Friends and neighbors knew they had to step in.
