SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The University of South Dakota was in Beaumont, Texas Saturday afternoon.

They would score first and take a 10-3 lead through the first quarter.

A Matt Walsh interception put them in field goal territory where they took advanatage.

On top of their touchdown on the day the offense had two field goals.

It was not enough to compete with the Cardinals 20 points, losing 20-13.

The Yotes start the season 0-2 for the first time since 2022.

They will have an opportunity to compete in their home stadium for the first time this year next week when they host Northern Colorado on September 13th at 1pm.
