SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Tonight : Showers and storms are really spiked up inland late this afternoon and evening. Less rain is expected overnight tonight with a 20% chance of rain and low temperatures in the upper 70s.

Sunday : As we head into Sunday be prepared for another hot and humid day with feels like temperatures in the upper 90s to near 100 degrees. A 40% chance of scattered showers and storms are in the forecast… mostly east of I-75.

Short Term/Long Term : By the beginning of the workweek elevated rain chances return again as a cold front begins to dip towards the south.

Tropics : Tropical development chances have decreased to zero, leaving no expected development over the next week.
