Three years ago, the Detroit Lions made a blockbuster move to trade up and take Jameson Williams in the 2022 NFL Draft.
On Saturday, Sept. 6, they signed him to a three-year extension on the eve of the season opener against the Green Bay Packers .
The Lions agreed to a three-year extension with Williams, who has two years remaining on his five-year rookie contract. The Free Press confirmed the deal with a person close to the situation. The person was granted anonymity because the deal has not yet been announced publicly.
The Schultz Report reported the deal was worth $83 million.
