FOREST HILL, La. (KALB) - The debate over carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) continues in Central Louisiana, and organizers are planning a community meeting.

The meeting will be held on Monday, September 8 at 6 p.m. at 138 Blue Lake Road in Forest Hill.

Organizers said their goal is to keep the public informed about CCS projects and what they could mean for local communities. They want to explain what carbon capture is, share information about possible risks, and give residents a chance to ask questions.

They also hope these meetings will show state leaders that people in the community want a stronger voice in decisions about CCS.
