NORMAN, Okla. — The Michigan football team will depart SEC territory a banged up team.

The 15th-ranked Wolverines were not only without their top target a week ago, but lost a starting offensive lineman and cornerback in their 24-13 loss to Oklahoma on Saturday.

Tight end Marlin Klein suited up with a thick rap over his right foot but did not play in the game, leaving freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood without a reliable option in the passing game. Underwood finished just 9 of 24 for 142 yards in the loss.

“It changed (the gameplan), but next-man-up mentality,” Michigan coach Sherrone Moore said afterwards. “We have to have that. Because you’re going to have a long season, guys are going to be in and out, (and) you’ve got to be able to adjust.”
