CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - The West Texas A&M Lady Buffs got their season started at home Friday, playing four matches, and finishing out the BritKare Lady Buff Classic undefeated.
The Lady Buffs got Saturday morning started with a sweep over CSU Pueblo (25-16, 25-22, 27-25). Currie Marusak led the team in kills with 17, Hannah Pemberton had 13 digs, Taytum Stow had seven blocks, and Bromli Watson had 37 assists.
They faced Oklahoma Baptist that afternoon, only dropping one set (25-13, 21-25, 25-18, 25-13). Emma Becker led the team in kills with 22, Kaycee Cavanaugh had 14 digs, Stow had nine blocks, and Watson had 44 assists.
They will go on the road for the first time this season Wednesday to face Adams State. The match begins at 7:00 p.m. CST.
