One of the joys of visiting a restaurant is trying new dishes and exploring something different.

But a new Bearwood eatery is 'challenging' customers to try something new about the way they eat - not just what they eat.

For when you walk into Madras Eatery, the first thing you might notice is a sink by the bar area.

This is an intentional design of the South Indian restaurant because they want customers to try eating dishes without cutlery.

Speaking to BirminghamLive, owner Arun Rajun said: "We challenge people to eat with their hands. You get to feel and sense the food this way.
