STEUBENVILLE — Cole Bowers set a school record for goals, however, it was not a good day for the Big Red boys’ soccer team as a whole.

Big Red got off to a slow start against Dover, and the Tornadoes made the Red and Black pay as Dover delivered five goals in the second half to pull away for a 7-3 victory Saturday on Reno Saccoccia Field inside Harding Stadium.

Bowers scored his record-setting goal on an indirect kick inside the penalty box with 10:38 left to play in the match. The Army commit has now tallied 75 goals in his illustrious career. Bowers broke the record he shared with Matt Loot at 74 goals.
