Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams will open the season with a three-year contract extension worth up to $83 million after reaching agreement Saturday, according to multiple media reports.

The Lions, who visit the Green Bay Packers in their season opener on Sunday, had picked up Williams’ fifth-year rookie option in April, meaning the 24-year-old was set to be under contract through 2026.

Williams hauled in 58 catches on 91 targets for 1,001 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games (11 starts) in 2024. He has 83 receptions for 1,396 yards and 10 touchdowns in 33 career regular-season games (21 starts).

He also has seven receptions for 98 yards and one touchdown and two carries for 103 yards and two TDs in four playoff games (three starts).
