A Quaker's meeting house in Coventry is set to receive a £25,000 grant to make the building more accessible. The building, located on Hill Street in the city centre, is a meeting house for religious groups and activities.
The building dates back to 1943 and hosts worship every Sunday, children's meetings, and a bring-and-share lunch on second Sundays. There's also counselling, parent and toddler groups, and support for asylum seekers and refugees.
The changes to the building will allow more members to use the facilities and conduct events that combat loneliness. The grant is part of a £1m payout by the National Churches Trust to maintain churches, meeting houses, and chapels open and used frequently.
