The Eagles have waived offensive guard Kenyon Green , the team announced on Saturday afternoon.

Green didn’t make the original 53-man roster out of training camp, but he was added back to the 53 prior to Week 1. He was made inactive for Philadelphia’s 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday .

Philadelphia acquired Green this offseason from the Houston Texans in the C.J. Gardner-Johnson trade . Some people thought Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland could turn around Green’s career, but it never happened.

He struggled to stay healthy this summer and got stuck with the third-team offensive line. The Eagles could still re-sign him to the practice squad.
