Hundreds of South Korean workers detained in a massive U.S. immigration raid at a Georgia battery plant will be flown home after Seoul and Washington struck a deal, ending days of negotiations that threatened to overshadow a multibillion-dollar investment partnership.

"We will also review and improve the visa system for those who go to the United States on business trips related to investment projects so that similar incidents won't be repeated, "said Kang Hoon-sik, the South Korean president's chief of staff, according to multiple news reports.
