Most of us believe voters pick our leaders – politicians should not pick which voters to heed and which to silence. But Donald Trump’s MAGA regime of bullies for billionaires is attempting to silence Americans by carving our country into congressional districts that allow them to seize permanent power – regardless of the popular vote.

And so, amid dismal public ratings, Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas is doing Trump’s bidding by allowing him to bully his way to permanent power against the will of the people. The only way to stop this bully is to face him and make clear that we are drawing a line, and that’s why Gov. Gavin Newsom of California is allowing voters to decide to claim their rightful power to ensure that elections allow the will of the people to prevail.
