Social media helped reunite a missing dog with its owner in Charlotte County, Florida, after two weeks apart. Charlotte County Public Safety said Silvie the dog disappeared last month.

On Aug. 17, her owner, John, posted about her being missing on social media, and her photo appeared across multiple groups and sites online.

Animal Control Officer Beattie recognized Silvie thanks to those posts and was able to return her home. Silvie's microchip confirmed she belonged with John. Silvie was found only five minutes away from where John last saw her.
