STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Finding a public bathroom on Staten Island can be difficult, especially if you don’t know where to look.
There are currently dozens of public bathrooms scattered across the borough, with more to come amid an ongoing citywide expansion.
In total, there are 59 public bathrooms on Staten Island, 45 of which are located at various parks and playgrounds, with the remaining 14 found at the borough’s New York Public Library branch locations.
Last June, Mayor Eric Adams launched the “Ur in Luck” initiative, an effort aimed at expanding accessibility to public bathrooms across all five boroughs.
