• They are closing the McKee Medical Center as we know it, transitioning into just a surgery center, and they’re also taking the McKee name off of it. McKee donated that land to that hospital, and they named it in his honor, and Banner is taking the name McKee off the building. I think somebody should do a story about this.

• Since Banner Health is abandoning Loveland and pulling out of the McKee Medical Center I see that we grab McKee Medical Center as imminent domain and turn it into a homeless shelter.

We should do some research to determine how other cities of Loveland’s size are handling the homeless issue. Providing homes for people with drug addiction and/or mental health issues is not a solution.

The city of Loveland’s Pulse utility department pays something like $30,000 a month
