Syracuse, N.Y. — A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg early Sunday on the West Side of Syracuse, police said.

Around 12:20 a.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Park Avenue after a ShotSpotter alert indicated multiple gunshots, according to Syracuse Police spokesperson Sgt. Thomas Blake.

Shortly after arriving at the scene, officers were notified that a shooting victim had been dropped off at Upstate University Hospital, Blake said. When police arrived, they found the man being treated for a gunshot wound to the leg, he said.

The victim is in stable condition and is expected to survive, Blake said.
