1925: A radio broadcasting station for the Orpheum theater and a swell new ice-skating palace with dancing pavilion and café, directly across the street from the Orpheum, are included in plans made by Miss Mary Costigan, managing owner of the Orpheum. Miss Costigan has the utmost faith in Flagstaff and belief that it will continue to grow even more rapidly than in the past. She intends to keep her amusement features even with this growth. The ice palace, which likely will be of concrete and brick, with a Spanish-style front, will cover all the property Miss Costigan recently brought on Aspen Avenue. It is 14 feet deep by 65 feet wide.
