A new medical thriller delving into 'the dark side of medicine' has launched on Channel 4. Originally broadcast on the BBC in 2017, the drama Trust Me spanned two seasons.

Each one explored a "different, often unfamiliar world", and the unsettling consequences when "that trust breaks down, no-one is safe". The first series, which consists of four episodes, features Jodie Whittaker as Cath Hardacre.

Cath, a ward sister who after losing her job due to whistleblowing, adopts the identity of her best friend, an A&E doctor. She then embarks on a new life in Edinburgh with her daughter, securing a position in a struggling emergency department, reports the Record .
