MISSOULA — The Montana football team entered the 2025 season with numerous questions leading to mountains of intrigue.
The expectations were still high as usual for the Grizzlies, who were ranked No. 6 in the national poll. It didn't matter to those voters that Montana was coming in with a host of new starters all over the defense and offense.
Above all else, the biggest storyline surrounding the Griz was whether their heavy dipping into the transfer portal could get them back to winning the Big Sky title and making the FCS national championship after doing so in 2023.
They looked like an improved squad full of poise and promise by the end of the game as they overcame a mixed bag in the first half to score a 42-17 win over Central Washington on Saturday nig
