YOUNGSTOWN - The Davis Family YMCA in Youngstown is hosting its 20th anniversary Pooch Pentathlon this Sunday.

The event is an annual dog competition where owners can bring their pets to compete in five different competitions, with awards for the top dogs in each contest for each division.

Small (under 12"), medium (12"-18") and large dogs (over 18") are welcome, each with their own division.

Small and medium dogs will compete at the same time from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and large dogs will go right after from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Taking place at the YMCA's outdoor pools, most of the events are in the water. Owners might want to brace themselves for the "wet dog smell."
