Brockton, Massachusetts, native and NFL legend Al Davis was honored in the "City of Champions" with a commemorative plaque on Saturday, a day before the Las Vegas Raiders take on the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

The plaque, dedicated by Brockton Mayor Robert F. Sullivan , was unveiled behind City Hall before a crowd that included the Brockton Raiders youth football team. It honors the legacy of the late Raiders owner who died in October 2011.
