The Netherlands is setting the standard for a shorter working week . ‌

More than half of Dutch women and nearly one in five men work fewer than 30 hours - the highest rate of part-time work in the developed world. ‌

Yet Dutch workers are also among the most productive , according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. ‌

They are more efficient than those in Germany, France and Britain in absolute productivity terms, it finds.

Now campaigners are saying we should follow suit.
