A man has been left seriously injured following an attack in a Lanarkshire village.
The incident happened at around 8.50am on Sunday, September 7, on Coalburn Road in Coalburn.
A 53-year-old man was putting rubbish in bins beside the convenience store on Coalburn Road when he was approached and slashed by a man with a bladed weapon . He fled the scene towards Dunns Crescent.
The injured man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital where he remains for treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as stable.
The suspect is described as male, 6ft, of a slim build, and was wearing black jogging bottoms, a black north face hooded top with white writing. a black snood, white trainers and orange gloves.
